This afternoon, 1st few documents scanned in, allowed me to apply standard & custom stamps OK.

Now however, I click on required stamp, and it just won't stick on document.
Have searched for clues on www, but no clues; any appreciated.

Applies to any stamp.
Documents are text, and scanned in as such.

Version is 7.1.0 which doesnt seem to appear on drop down box below only goes up 7.0.9?

:)

Have you tried restarting Acrobat? Rebooting your system?

Yes I've detected & repaired/rebooted THOMP.
Fiddling around has caused some pdf's now to display with a grey check pattern grid, which I can't seem to turn off/makes hard to view.

Thumbnails on left seem fine.

So instead of fixing the stamps things got way worse? Bummer! It seems you have a broken Acrobat. I'd suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling. If you have 3rd party plug-ins, don't install them right away. Also don't install the upgrades right away. Test out acrobat first, and then inbetween each plug-in and upgrade you install.

Reinstalling is the last and final fix. If this doesn't fix it then the problem is in configuration parameters that cannont be cleaned up in a reasonable way.

Thanks; will have to wait till I'm in office next week then as IT hold s/ware discs.
Unfortunately our company no longer supports Adobe Standard & is keen to migrate us to some cheaper (I assume) alternative. The checker problem is very apparent on pdf's, which have comments added.
Others with a lot of graphics, have the graphics fine, but the checker surrounding them.
