Stopping auto skew correction when using OCR

Scanning documents that contain both text and line art on the same page is sometimes problematic when the OCR feature is checked. When the line art is fairly dominant and not parallel to the top/bottom of the page, the OCR will automatically skew the page to correct for what it perceives as a crooked page. Is there any way to turn off this auto "correction" while at the same time allowing the OCR to scan the text so as to have a searchable pdf?

Acrobat Pro 8.1.7, Windows

Hi krasnit,

Sure. In Acrobat go to Document ->Scan to PDF. In the Acrobat Scan dialog that appears go to the Document area and click on Options. In the new dialog titled Optimization Setting, in the Filtering area set the Deskew to Off. The setting should be sticky so the deskewing feature will remain off until you change it.Hope this helps,
