Hello,

I'm new to this forum and hoping that someone here may be able to help with my qustion.

Is it possible to create a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 with page tabs? if so how?

I'm sure i have seen pdf files in the past that have tab like diveders along the right hand side that when clicked goto a certain section within the same document.

Thanks in advance for any help offered

Acrobat provides some standard navigation tabs like bookmarks, comments, thumbnails, attachments, etc. See the "View => NavigationPannel" for the full list.> Is it possible to create a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 with page tabs? if so how?The "Pages or "Thumbnail" pages is automatically generated as part of the PDF, but if you are referring to the text strings on the right that link to specific pages or other files, they are "Bookmarks" and can be optionally becreated in application that has a recognized structure. For example, MS Word has various structures that be be selected to create the bookmarks like the "Headings", "TOC", and "Index" fields. For a more advance entry one can use the "Print Field" to insert "PDFMarks" into the Word print stream during the conversion of the Word field.

You will need to set the "Opening" parameters of the PDF created to display the approptiate tab. This setting will override the user's set preferences.
