Tips for PDF for portable devices

Our organisation are looking to allow access to our documentation library via Blackberry devices.

Our library currently contains A4 format PDF documentation and I am interested whether there would be any point in creating smaller versions (in layout terms) of these documents for delivery via PDA/Blackberry? - my basis is in web design and I understand about producing web pages 'optimised' for pda delivery, but wiondered if this was neccessary for pdf.

If this is the case, can you recommend any specific tips that you can suggest regarding minimum font sizes, picture resolutions etc.?

Many thanks,

Chris.

One of the key things that makes information easier to create on PDAs is tagging. Tagging ensures that text blocks reflow and that content follows the appropriate sequences, so readers can follow a story that spans different pages and columns without other stories interrupting the flow.
One method to check the reading order of a document is to view it in Reflow view:
View > Zoom > Reflow.
