Is there a touch up text tool in Acrobat 7.0 Standard (like there is in v 4.0) that I can use to make minor modifications in pdf docs? I have not been able to find one in v 7.0 thanks

Certainly there is!

Look for "Touch Up Text Tool" in the menus, you'll find it soon enough.
