translate PDF to english?

(i run acrobat 8.0 pro on a ppc mac 10.4-something)

i've searched and searched and can't find the answer to this anywhere...hopefully someone here will know!

i have a few PDFs in languages other than english (french, spanish, maybe a german), and i'd like to know if i can use acrobat to translate them to english?

if acrobat does not have any function for this does is there perhaps a website, or third-party plugin available for this task?

Acrobat doesn't have a translation feature to translate text between languages. You can find Web sites that offer translation services however, you might want to have all the translated text reviewed by a native speaker of a given language. The online translators are not precise in translating languages.

well shoot. i'll have to do things the hard way, i guess.
thanks for the reply, though ted, at least i won't waste any more time looking for something that doesn't exist.

i'm not worried about online translators for my purposes, however, b/c i'm translating scientific journal articles and can easily fill in the blanks with context clues.
