I marked headings in a Word document either heading 1 or heading 2, so that when I coverted the Word document to a .pdf, the heading 2s would be nested beneath the heading 1s in the .pdf bookmarks.
The conversion works fine except when the headings are in Word tables. The heading 2s in the tables appear the same way in the bookmarks as heading 1s. They aren't nested.
I'm trying to avoid any manual fixes to the bookmarks in the .pdf. Is there any way to get the headings in the table to convert correctly from going Word to .pdf?
The PDF bookmark hierarchy is reliant on the level hierarchy of the MS Word headings.
Placing the Headings(1, 2, etc.) in the table cell "masks" this.
What's encountered first is the table cell & cell content is basically at the same level for all cells
in any given table.
You may have to manually arrange the bookmarks to reflect what you want.
