Trouble with garbled texts caused by commenting tools !

Hi,

I have this very annoying problem with some commenting tools ( Acrobat 8 ) , specially the Highlight Text Tool . When I highlight a line of texts , immediately the texts above the highlighted line become overlaid with square boxes or symbols making them very hard to read ! It doesn't happen always , but this is the case 90% of the time .

I have been searching the Internet for more than a week now , but I haven't found any answer to my apparently quite rare problem . I even searched for garbled texts in this forum and found nothing addressing this unusual problem.

I already really appreciate any information and help .
Thank you so much

Nader

P.S:
I am using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional on a Sony Vaio laptop running windows XP home edition .

Ok, that is not supposed to happen. It seems you've found a bug. There is something about your files that causes Acrobat to render the Highlight annotation incorrectly. Do other people see the same effect when they view the file? Can you post an example to Acrobat.com?

I am afraid that for some reason I can't send the file to Acrobat.com , but I believe you are right and it is a bug.I don't have this problem when working on a PDF converted from a webpage by Acrobat itself. It is definitely a bug . I will figure out a way to resolve it somehow.

Thank you so much for your help and guide Thom.

you might consider posting an example file at youSendit (signup for a freebie here: https://www.yousendit.com/cms/compareaccounts) then posting the download link to this forum.
