I've created a link within a PDF report that links back to a file (another pdf file). The receiver is not able to open the file. What am I missing? (reader gets an error message informing that they are not able to open the file). I have been able to do this several times in the past?

Hi,

The end-user must have both PDF files located in the same relative directory location/hierarchy on their local machine as you have on your local machine.

If link is from file01.pdf to file02.pdf and file01.pdf is in c:/MyPDFs/
with file02.pdf in c:/MyPDFs/targetPDFs

and the link you make is from file01.pdf location through directory to file02.pdf
on you local machine then the end-user must have the same / directory structure which has the two PDF files in the same relative locations.Else, Adobe Reader / Acrobat will not be able to follow the specific path you created.
