Trouble sending Outlook e-mail message with PDF attachment

This often happens out of the blue, but sometimes when I have a PDF open in Acrobat Pro 8 and I click on the envelope icon to send the PDF as an attachment nothing happens. I end up closing and saving the e-mail message and sending it directly from Outlook. It seems to happen most whenever I type a long message. Then there are other times when I can click 'send' from Acrobat Pro and have the message go out normally with the PDF attached. Any idea why this happens?

I have the same problem. Unless I open Outlook, any email with an attachment sits in my outbox and does not send unless I send directly from Outlook. I don't generally keep Outlook open and would prefer to have the old system, which is one less step. This is not a sporadic problem, but happens all the time. Were you (dbrooks) able to figure it out?.
