Trouble sending PDF file

I am having trouble sending a PDF file to Excel 2000 from Adobe 7.0.8. It comes up in Excel encrypted. It says it is a read only file. Please help!!

I am confused here - you cannot send a PDF to Excel. Even a PDF of tabular (rows / cols) data. Excel has no capacity to interpret the info.

The best you can hope for is File | SaveAs, then choose a different file type at the bottom. Items such as .DOC, .RTF, .Text, etc. may get you closer.

There are third-party plug-ins (google search PDF to Excel) that may help you get closer to your intended results.
