I have a PDF document we created for downloading and viewing and I am trying to set it up so individuals who download and view this won't have to click the "allow" button in the security pop-up window for every link they click on. The document has many links. I have been able to correct my settings in my own Acrobat "Trust Manager" preferences so this is overridden on all links. But it does not override it for the document and when I send it out to others the pop-up security windows are back on all links. Is there a way I can override this and save it to the document so when others download this document they do not get these security warnings? The original document was created on a Mac, in OS 10.4.1, in InDesign CS2, and I am working on it in Acrobat 7 professional.
Thank you,
Suzy
It is not possible to override the "Trust Manager" security settings document URLs. Each individual that views the URL needs to determine their level of Trust for specific websites. It was designed as a security feature to advise users that Acrobat is initiating a network or web connection, either through JavaScript or a through a URL embedded in a PDF document.
A connection may be visible to the user as a live URL link pointing to a website. However, the connection can be invisible to the user as well, in the case of form data submitted to a backend server.
