Typewriter Font Opacity

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro (Version 9.3.4) and have been for some time; however, suddenly in the past week, the typewriter font became opaque.

When I try to use the property bar for the typewriter, the property bar is essentially blank showing only: Properties and Author name--no options to expand the box.

When selecting a "different" tool and then selecting the properties bar, all functions are available for color, opacity and the keep tool selected box for that tool.

When going back to the typewriter tool, all options in the property bar become grayed.

Any suggestions from anyone.

Thanks very much
Joi S.

Did you update Acrobat? Adobe tends to make boneheaded changes every once and a while to edge functionality. Stuff that's not well documented in the first place. Try reinstalling Acrobat and then not doing the latest update.

The typewriter annotation is actually a variation on the Free Text Annotation. I don't know whether it has the same problem or not, but you could try using it instead.

Yup...I do all the updates. And didn't associate the problem with the latest update, but...now that you mention it, it could well have been the beginning of the problem. I will uninstall and reinstall leaving the 9.3.4 update. Stand by for results. :D
