Using "building blocks" in an Acrobat file.

Hello,

I'm having the following problem using Adobe Professional 8.1.3, and i'm hoping
that anyone here can help me solve it.

What i would like to do is this.

I want to create an Acrobat file which can be used and filled in by a user using Acrobat reader.

In this PDF file, a user can enter standard information like a "name", "address"
and "telephone number".

A very important field will be the pull down field "Select form".

When a user selects a form this (also PDF) form has to appear below the already
filled in fields like "name", "address" an "telephone number".

Any other forms (accessible in the pull down menu) stored in the PDF may not be
visible to the user in any way.

So "only" the selected form has to appear on screen.

This entire form must be filled in on screen, and the user must have the possibility
to print, save and e-mail this form to a pre defined e-mail address stored in the form.

So all different forms have to be stored in a single PDF file.

What do i need to do this ?

Can this be done in Acrobat Professional 8 only, and do i need to program
anything using javascript or any other language or program ?

Best regards,
Flash

First you must understand the differences between Acrobat Standard/Professional/Extended, a purchased product, and Adobe Reader, a free product.

The Acrobat product can use the 'template' object to add pages or show or hide pages, but the free Reader can not.

You might be able to use LiveCycle Designer Dynamic forms and master pages to create a PDF that newer versions of Reader can use.
