Using drawing tool for Rules

I use acrobat 6, 7 & 8 professional. I wanted a guide to be printed to check the alignment of tables. As a solution I used the Ruler tool in acrobat to create rules.

In Acrobat 6, if i copy these rules (drawn) from one page to another they will paste them at the exact position where they were drawn. But in Acrobat 7 & 8 the position of the pasted rules varies from one page to another.

Pleae let me know if there is any preference to ensure they are pasted at the same position in Acrobat 7 & 8 as well.

One thing you can do, is replace the pages of the document where you have those rules drawn with the new pages that you want to contain the rules, that way the rules will stay on the same position but the pages will be new ones.

You can replace pages on the left pages panel by: Ctrl + click on the page you want to replace, choose "replace pages" and then browse to find the new page you want to insert.
