Want adobe 8 to open in fill page view

cant remember how to or if it can be done, also

can I turn off the automatic cover page?

You can set open preferences under the Edit --> Preferences --> Page Display panel.To remove the automatic cover page when combining documents, uncheck the "Use Adobe Template" in the lower right part of the Combine Files dialog.
