I plan on buying Adobe Acrobat 9 and of course I shopped around on the Internet and very often I can find an "Old version " of Adobe Acrobat 9 pro .Can anybody tell me the difference between the "old version " and the defacto "New" version ?
Thanks

Hi Galopin,

Likely the term "old" is used when referring to Acrobat 9 because there is a newer version, Acrobat X (10) available now. When a new version is released, Adobe stops selling the previous version. There are other vendors that will continue selling the older versions for a while, which is probably what you are seeing that is called "old."

There are vast differences between Acrobat 9 and X. One of the biggest differences is the user interface is almost completely changed in Acrobat X. Here is a portfolio showing the different features in older version of Acrobat ( 6 -9)- http://www.acrobatusers.com/auc/content/blogs/lkassuba/files/Portfolio_acroMatrix.pdf

and you can find the matrix sheet for Acrobat X at this page-http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html

Hope this helps,

Dimitri
