Hi All.

I have old version Acrobat on my machine and I would like to install new version. What is better to install Acrobat X Pro or Acrobat 9.4 Pro Extended? And what is difference between them?

Thanks.

The current version is Acrobat X, and should always be the one installed unless there is a specific need to use a legacy version. You cannot purchase Acrobat 9 from Adobe anymore, and it doesn't work with the latest third-party software such as Office 2010.

There are *many* differences between X Pro and 9 Pro Extended. You need to read the product pages in detail to decide if there is anything in version 9 you need which isn't in version X.

It all depends on your major use for Acrobat. There have been numerous discussions about what changed between Acrobat 9 and 10, and there are actually uses where neither one is the version of choice (I am talking about forms development here). If you are on Windows, and rely on connectivity with MSOffice, you better go for 10, otherwise, it may also be the question of the user interface (no comment on Acrobat 10's…).

Hope this can help.
