I have reinstalled Acrobat 8 and updated all the security patches etc.
 
Whwn I try and create a pdf from a word/Excel document I get the following message:- Missing PDFmaker files, would you like to run the in repair mode?
 
This does not cure the problem. The addins are in Office and enabled, but do not appear on the toolbar.
 
Anyone have any ideas?

The Acrobat 8.x PDFMaker does not support Office 2010 (which came along well after 8.x was replaced by 9.x).
The PDFMaker with Acrobat X supports Office 2010 32-bit.
The PDFMaker with Acrobat X dot release 10.1 supports some Office 2010 62-bit.

Thanks for that, I believe that I upgraded to version 10.0, but am unable to find the electronic download...

I will have to think again... :(
