Word to pdf conversion error

What does this error mean and what can I do to fix it?:
"Unable to convert to pdf; invalid page range or conversion setting parameters."
 
This has been happening to me when I try to convert Word docs to pdf. After that Word will usually crash, asking me to shut it down and restart the program.
 
By the way, I have MS Office 2003.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows

You can try saving your Word document as a PostScript file and then use Distiller to create the PDF.

Thanks for the reply Melisa622! Unfortunately, my company is a bit stubborn and only want to do certain things a certain way which means only through acrobat. We do have cutepdf so for the time being I'm using that until we can fix this.
