You don't seem to have a 'follow-up' or 'feedback' system for this area...so have to use the New Question route.
Eugene Williams' answer on resizing links to less than 1" is obviously not made with knowledge of the v8 bug that prevents link rectangles (nothing to do with graphics) being resized properly. Although they can be created correctly, any attempt to sensibly resize is impossible.

This seems to be a common problem among many users. It apparently is a bug in Acrobat 8.0. look for the upgrade to Acrobat to fix this problem. Adobe has announced an upgrade to appear in late sping this year.
