I have Adobe Pro 8 and have made sure the updates are current but I still have a problem with it scaling. For example I have a PDF of a site plan and the scale is 1" = 30' well I put that into the field and then click and try to measure and it appears it measure only one to one. I have not had this problem before and would like some help

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.3, Windows

Can you update your Acrobat to 8.3? I'm not sure if this was an official bug. I'm checking. You can find all the updates here:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
I only have Acrobat 9 & 10 on this machine. Typing 1 and 30 in the dialog (and making sure in is selected) works for me in 9. You may also want to check Preferences > Measuring and un-check Use Scale Units from Document (when Present).

I have updated my version. I tried again and still had the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled my version and tried again and it has the same problem. I tried a different drawing and now the scale doesn't read the desired increment. example the scale of the drawing is 3/16" = 1' so I put in 0.1875" to 1' so it should and has given me feet, now it gives me the correct measurement but in inches instead of feet. I dont know what to do now. I have been using this version for about 3 years and have not had this problem before.

Thanks for helping
