To Whom It May Concern:

I am having an interesting problem that I am not sure how to go about fixing. I have a 1MB survey that was designed using LiveCycle 8.1. The form is then made Reader Enables using Professional 8.1. When it is emailed to our clients they are able to fill in the form using Reader 8.1, then they are asked to email back to use by clicking on a “Submit” button that is found on the form. All of this work find, however when they try and click the send button through MS Access, we get an error message saying that “This document does not exist”, now here is the interesting part, the Email still goes through with the form attached(in .PDF format) and we are still able to see all the data within the form.

We are developing the forms on Windows NT 2000, and our clients are using Windows XP Professional. Not sure if this is what is causing the error or not. The error may also be coming from Access 2003 because of the size of the file.

If you have run across this problem before and have any suggestions that would be great.

Thanks,

~Amanda~

If the form was developed in LiveCycle and you expect over 500 responses to the survey, I suggest you incorporate the LiveCycle Reader Extension Server.

If you're using Office 2007 or MS Access 2007, there is an add-on available from Microsoft that supports PDF functionality for these programs.

It's not possible to send a PDF form via MS Access.
Did you follow this procedure to when extending rights with Acro Pro:

1. Open te form in Acro Pro.
2. Select Form > Distribute Form
3. Select Send now via email on the Form Distribution Option screen.
4. Clicked OK
5. Entered your email address.
6.Specify a collection file.
7. Edit the subject & body of the email message.
8. Save & send the form. This is the proper way to enable Reader Usage Rights in a PDF form developed with LiveCycle.
