hello, our firm is using Adobe Acrobat 5.0 but whenever I press F1 to search I get this error message "Acrobat was not able to initialize its search engine" any help please ??!!
Check the hard drive and folder names in the path leading to the Acrobat 5.0\Help\ENU folder. If it contains any extended characters (such as tilde(~)), either rename the hard drive or folder so that it does not contain extended characters, or install Acrobat to a drive/folder without extended char's in the path. Acrobat attempts to automount an index when the Help file is opened and this index that is built by Catalog doesn't like extended characters.
Hope this helps, Lori
