URGENT:
Hi, I use Adobe Life Cycle 8 to create a pdf form, with some fields, and a "Save" button, which I write these javascripts,
app.execMenuItem("Save");
However, when I test it on the Adobe Professional 8, or Adobe Reader standard edition, the save function is not working. Ironically, save function is working on Adobe Professional 7. May I know how can I solve this problem? Target reader is AxAcropdf.dll (Version 7).
Adobe changed the security restrictions ( tightened them considerably) for executing Menu items in Acrobat 8. It is all in the latest JavaScript documentation and here is a Blog entry by Thom Parker discussing it and the implications for PDF forms developers.

Hope that helps-or at least clarifys the situation for you.
