I am creating PDF’s of cabinet drawings. Fields have been added for varying dimensional information.

There are several different dimensions, in height for example, which I would like to be summed automatically for a total.

The problem that I encounter is that the dimensions must be displayed architecturally (i.e.: 1-1/2”).
I have successfully used the summation on numbers that use decimal points, but have not been successful with the fractional/architectural numbers.

Form fields can be formmatted to display just about anything without changing the underlying value. Look at this article.
