We are publishing our catalogue on CD and our PDF catalogue is opening in a web browser. I have a button that you click on to close the PDF and start a flash presentation. This works fine in Adobe reader but not in the browser window. Is there a fix for this?

What exactly is your button doing? Have you tried navigating to another web page using "app.launchURL"? Have you looked at the Adobe User to User forums. There is quite a bit of discussion there on closing a PDF displayed in a browser.
