Custom Calculation Script

I'm wondering why a custom calculation script would work with Adobe Reader 6.0 and not with Adobe Reader 8.0. Any Ideas. This happens when our providers use Adobe Reader 8.0 to fill out some Federal Forms. Is there any setting in Adobe 8.0 that I can have them set that will allow the custom calculation script to work, or do I need them to uninstall 8.0 and use 6.0 which might cause problems with newer forms. This is a Federal Form so it cannot be changed. Thanks.

My Product Information:
Reader 8.1.1, Windows

There are a number of possible reasons including not have a font available or using a property or method for which the security level had changed from version 6 to version 8.

First, I would check if the updates to version 8 will fix this problem. The latest version is 8.1.1. Most of the federal and many state revenue forms do not have any calculations associated with them as the agencies do not want to take the responsibility of their errors.

What is the link to the forms in question?

Here is the form in question: http://muskie.usm.maine.edu/vawamei/attachments/pdf/forms/stopformula/stop_annual_form.pdf

Try page 3, where it calculates the percentage automatically. When you leave a field it automatically does it in 6.0 but not in 8.0. I will try the update and see if that fixes it. Thank you.

I tried it in 8.1.1 with the same results.
