I am trying to create a dynamic stamp that will have a drop down box with a predefined list of values. Does anyone know the best way to go about this? Or can i even do it in a stamp?

Thanks

It's impossible. Once a stamp is applied it is totally flattened.

Can I have some sort of drop down or LOV with a Javascript dialog box or message? That way it is linked to the stamp?

You can display a drop-down (what's a LOV?) in a Dialog, created with a script, before the stamp is applied, and then use the data from that dialog in the stamp, but you can't apply the stamp and then still use the drop-down that you placed in it.

LOV = List of Values

That sounds like that would work. Do you know if i can find a script for that?

Hi Webcor,

Here are two tutorials from the learning Center you should read about custom dialogs and stamps-
http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/02/dynamic_stamp_secrets
http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2006/popup_windows_part5

Once you've read those and if you decide to wade into the development of your own custom dialog you may want to check out my company's Acrobat plugin AcroDialogs. It is a drag and drop dialog designer for PDFs that saves a HUGE amount of time over hand-coding a custom dialog.

Hope this helps,
