My question is on editing a document, preparing it to print. The document will be produced for us and will have a bland 2nd, 5th, 8th, and every 3rd page after. I want to explore using Scripting to delete these blank pages. The document could be several pages long, so manually going in and removing the pages is not realistic. Thanks. (Would be using 7.x or could purchase 8.0)
If you wish to remove empty pages (provided they are completely empty of ANY content) then preflight fixups are right up your street (without having to script). Go into Advanced / Preflight and then create a new profile (bottom left). Once created, select the fixups category in the bottom of the profile and select 'New Fixup' in the bottom right area. From here you can choose the 'Pages' category and then 'Remove Empty Pages'.
This functionality is new to Acrobat 8 Professional and there are so, so many different fixes available - quite mind blowing really!
Otherwise, if you wish to be more specific to the content you wish to remove then let us know - there are other third-party solutions on the market which have other features.
All the best,
Jon
I've been using Acrobat since v1.0 and still get amazed by its power. An Acrobat ACE since 1999
