I've authored an index of many files using word to manage links. This document is being published to pdf for distribution as a resource refernece.

These file links are to other PDFs, URLs, and some are .xml and .zip files.

How can i make the .xml and .zip files initiate a downlaod dialog like a browser does?

I'm am new to AcroJS, but i'm familiar with actionscript in flash.

Is it possible to add an event listener to capture the mouseUp event on a link, and if .zip or .xml throw up a dialog box so the user can download the resource to a directory of their choice?

Also this needs to work in PDF v6 or greater.

Thanks for any help,
Todd

Because of potential virus contamination, links and file attachments are not supported with certain file types. Zip files are notorious for having potential viruses. Use Allume Systems Stuffit to compress the files and set the links to stuffed archives.
