Hi list...

Is it possible to hide link objects on a page?

I have certain OCGs (Illustrator layers) that start off hidden. They have links in them, but I want the links to be "gone" when the layers' states are false. Is this possible?

thanks,
- Michael M.

Are the links real Link objects, or are they buttons?
If the former, then you can't really hide them, but you can change their rect property so they are basically invisible (only in Acrobat!). If the latter then you can set the display property to display.hidden to make them disappear.

Thanks! That's the answer I anticipated. They are real links, not buttons, so i suppose I have to hide them with tiny rects in the corner.

Links can be placed onto OCGs within a PDF file using Acrobat Pro and Preflight.

I'll post a tutorial tomorrow and reply with the link.
