Hi all,

I have an interactive PDF which I need to give the ability to have some text become bold when entered into a text field. Ideally I think I would like some sort of dropdown menu to select which text in the field needs to be emboldened. Alternatively I could have a set of predefined words that when typed become bold and everything else stays in the default regular font.

I'm not sure where to start with this one so any advice would be gratefully received.

You need to use the 'Rich Text' option for the form field, and the user will need to use the 'Properties' tool bar to format the text. This field type is not the same as the text coding for the Rich Text Format, RTF, file type.
