inserting pages with extended features turned on

Hello all,

I am creating a form which needs extended features turned on. I am using automailmerge which in the java script portion of the plugin inserts a page after the fields have been filled. Obviously the insert page java script does not work with extended features turned on, but is there a way around it?

I was wondering if there is some java script that could turn on extended features after the page has been inserted. That way the final pdf created would have the page inserted and extended features turned on so the person who receives the pdf could interact with the form. Please let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks for your time,

Tim

No. You have to break the Extended Features, modify the PDF, save as a new pdf, Enable Extended Reader Rights to new PDF.

Automation of applying extended reader rights is only available through the LiveCycle ES server product, this is not LiveCycle Designer.

thank you for your response. So there is no way to use app.execMenuItem("_______") to turn on extended features in a script?
