is it possible for a button to open a new document?

I know the anwer is yes. I just cannot find a straightforward answer. So now i am asking: How can i make a button open a newdocument?
or even more important for what i am doing: Can i make a button open an existing pdf, that i have previously saved/edited?

Yes, there are several ways to open an existing document. Perhaps the easiest is to use an "Open a file" action as the Mouse Up action of a button.

What exactly do you mean by "open a newdocument"?

oh that was a typo. it was supposed to be two words. "new document".
