When I access the bookmark name of a very long bookmark using javascript, javascript is truncating it. Does anyone know if there is a limit here? It would be odd that name extraction would be shorter than what is available using the UI. I think JS is truncating it to 256, yet it is over 300 characters.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

You're correct. It seems JS only reads the first 257 characters of the bookmark's name.
You can report it as a bug to Adobe, here:
