greetings,
i've a question on metadata Acrobat Pro.
I applied customized properties to some files, i'd like to understand why in XMP panel these value are tagged as , this format is not regard the exchange print production? my purpose is to save files from the XMP panel in xml format, but nextly values tagged with aren't import in access Db.
For a right import i've to insert it to tag, i'd like that Acro does it.
Have anyone some suggest to resolve the question?
Regards.

Have you compared the Acrobat "metadata" to the XMP specification? If it matches the spec, then Acrobat is correct. If it doesn't match, then Acrobat is wrong and you can file a bug. But in the short term I don't think this will do you much good.

I'd suggest that you write code to transform the metadata before saving/exporting to your DB.

But, since you are interested in print exchange, post this question on the printing forums. This may be an issue that's already been solved.

hello thomp,
i'd like to compare customized properties, i saw that specific properties like Title, Subject, Author, Keywords are correctly interpreted both from acrobat and XMP > xml > DB, while other properties, created ad hoc, are interpreted only from Acrobat plug-in Catalog. i'd like to pass values in way to be understandble both in Catalog and XMP.
Morever, no, i'm not interesting in print exchange, i just want to know matter of pdfx tags in customized properties.
p.s. is it possible to change the schema of XMP and pass to it values directly from Acrobat (function execDialog)?
Regards
