Answered

I'm working on a PDF file for my boss using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional and editing it in LiveCycle Designer 8.0.

I have multiple check boxes on the form.

Basically what I want the form to do is when I click on a check box I want a message to to pop-up.

I know this can be done through scripting but I have no idea what to do or where to start.

Please keep in mind I am BRAND NEW to Acrobat & LiveCycle so I need explicit instructions.

Thank you so much through to anyone that answer this!! :)

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer, Windows

Have you looked at Thom Parker's JavaScript Corner Tips and Tutorials? There is a 5 part series on Popup Winows, Alert, Response, and other Popup Windows in Acrobat JavaScript.
