Is there a way to have the attached files open in separate windows? When they are clicked on in the attachment menu they do but when they are clicked on through links or buttons they close out the original PDF

Hi coolhand25,

This is a preference you can set in Acrobat (Edit --> Preferences --> Documents). You can select the open settings for your documents such as:
- Show each document in its own window
- Open cross-document links in the same window

Hope this helps,
Lori

I have a question. What do you do when you are distributing a PDF like this to others and you can't guarantee that their preferences will be set properly? Is there a setting in the actual document to insure that the linked file is opened in a new window?

Thanks!
