I need to convert the .ps file to pdf without using acrobat. Is it possible via any other third pary free tool. Or is it possible via ghost script and how? Kindly advice me.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.1, Windows

Yes you can use ghostscript or PDFCreator (not PDF-creator) or Acrobat.com to convert PS to PDF.

They are all free, so try them to see how they work and which ones is better for your workflow.
