I have been working on a pricing matrix for a few months and have been able to search through this forum to find any information I needed. So, I'll start by saying thank you and that this is a great place to learn tricks and techniques. Before starting this matrix I had no knowledge of javascripting or the power of Acrobat. I come from the graphic side of the adobe suite and my only usage of Acrobat was for proofing.
Did I greatly underestimate this program!
Here's my question... I have a Grand Total "GT" Text field which adds all of my totals together... All but two... I have a "StateTax" and "Shipping" text field(s).. As opposed to having four "GT" text fields.. one with shipping, one with statetax, one with both, and one with neither added - I thought about a radio button with a calculation script and export value.
"If you check this box StateTax will be applied to the GT"
Both Shipping and StateTax will have a Radio Button "Check Box"... turn it on and presto!
In the e-seminars on demand page of this site (http://acrobatusers.com/learning_center/eseminars/on_demand ) Thom Parker did a Tech Talk titled Using Acrobat JavaScript with Forms and I believe he showed example code for how to do this with an order form.
Hope this helps,
Dimitri
