Hi cgodin,

There are several options for setting the initial view of a PDF located under File ->Properties -> Document Properties dialog, Initial View tab.To open your file without the navigation panel visible, you will need to check the "Hide Window Controls" option, then save the PDF.

Hope that helps,

That works. But if you have a form created in LiveCycle the options are greyed out. Is there a Javascript command I can add to the form load event to "Hide Window Controls"

Hi cgodin,

Ahhh, I'm terrible at intuiting whether the question is related to an Acrobat or LiyeCycle Designer created PDF, and unfortunately Adobe has never really put forth any susbstantive messaging to help users undertsand there is a BIG difference between the two. I don't see any way to do this from JavaScript with an XFA form (which is by the way, the current nomenclature for a LiveCycle Designer PDF).

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
