Hello,

With Acrobat 9.0 does there exist any method to add a rich media (specifically flash) annotation automatically/programatically.

I deally I am looking for a solution using acrobat javascript. I have seen examples where it can be done with external programs. And using a combination of import and doc.media or addAnnot (for sound). We could previously automate the adding of rich media.

Thanks,
Carl

As it stands now there aren't any JS APIs for creating the AnnotRichMedia. In fact the API for Rich media is pretty poor compared to the API for the old media objects. But ithe RMA is new in 9 so I'm sure there's some good stuff coming down the pipe.

Your only option right now is to write a plug-in, or external application to add the RMA to a PDF.
