Hi,

I have a javascript that is in the folder-level. It contains a soap connection. When I start Acrobat Reader, my soap connection works perfectly. However, when I have a document load in acrobat Reader, my soap object can't be connected and I have
NotAllowedError: Security settigs prevent access to this property or method?

Can someone explain me why?

Can someone give me a link that explains what is disables when a document is loaded with acrobat reader?

Thank you

My Product Information:
Reader 9.0, Windows

For SOAP to work with Reader, a document has to be given the corresponding usage rights. Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extension product is what is used to apply such rights, but Acrobat cannot.

There is a service available from a FormRouter that you can use to apply rights to individual PDFs: http://www.formrouter.com/pdf/readerextensions.htm

I have installed Adobe LiveCycle Acrobat Reader extension ES, I put all the rights that I can on my pdf file.

However, when I open with Acrobat Reader, I still can't call method on my webservice?
I still have this error:
NotAllowedError: Security settigs prevent access to this property or method?

Do I miss something to set it right?

Thank you

You might check the documentation about the new "security model" introduced with Acrobat 9. You might add the path to the server in the trusted paths list.

Hope this can help.
