Time limits on PDF files

I want to set up a PDF file that has a time limit so after a specified date the document cannot be opened. I want to do this without the expense of the Policy Server.

Can it be done? If yes then where do I go to information in the documentation on how to do it?

You could try DRM or an Acrobat Policy Server solution.

How about securing a PDF via JavaScript so the document is password protected?

Too easy to circumvent JavaScript by turning of the application's preference.

I'm not sure what the expense of the policy server is, so maybe have a look at: http://www.locklizard.com/pdf_security.htm

Way more $$$$$$$ than the company is going to fork over for the Policy Server. I tend to use more features than most of the folks in the company do so there isn't much interest in forking over big bucks (especially these days) for stuff know one seems to care about. :-(

nixopax,
I took a quick look at the page you sent the link for and will take a closer look at it tomorrow when I am in the office. Thanks for the link.
