Web Form Not Submitting..?

I created a PDF using OpenOffice 2.1, containing a form I wish to submit over the web to my site.

Testing from within OpenOffice (switching between "live" and "design" mode) works fine, and my PHP script receives the form data as expected.

As soon as I export to PDF though.. it stops working.

I upgraded to Reader 8.0, and when I hit the "Submit" button the form clears all fields without actually submitting anything.

I found a setting to enable sharing of data over the internet with all sites, but still no joy.

I don't get any error messages, so I don't really know what to try next.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
-- Will.

Hi WillBarden,
I assume you don't have Acrobat. The PDF you created is not compatible with this function (Submit). You need to develop or save your form with the latest version of Acrobat and insert a submit button.

Hi Eugene,

Thanks for your answer. I was led to use OpenOffice from this blog entry:

http://www.acrobatusers.com/blogs/pdftrainer/2007/04/02/more-on-open-office-as-a-pdf-form-design-tool/

He gives an example PDF created in OpenOffice which submits a complex form to a website, which I can use successfully on my PC.

It *must* be possible.

Thanks again,
-- Will.

I've been through the same process but not using Open Office, using Acrobat Pro. 8 - Same problem, the forms don't submit from anyone except me!

Any ideas??
