Considering this version is about a decade old, I highly doubt many people can help you with this... In principle it should be possible, though. Have you tried the help files?

1) According to this wikipedia-page, PDF/A was introduced in Acrobat 5. 2) Acrobat 5 was released in 2001. Acrobat 6 was released in 2003. It doesn't sound right that Adobe would stop supporting a product before the next one is released...

Just me nattering here; but, the Wiki states that PDF/A-1 (ISO 19005-1) was published by ISO on October 1, 2005. The article states that PDF/A-1 was *based on* PDF Reference Version 1.4 (which is the version promulgated with Acrobat 5). Note that this does not mean PDF/A-1 came about at the same time as Acrobat 5 nor was it introduced in Acrobat 5. . Adobe provides 5 years of support from the year of release for an Acrobat version. So: Acrobat 5 - 2001 to 2006 Acrobat 6 - 2003 to 2008 Acrobat 7 - 2004 to 2009 Acrobat 8 - 2006 to 2011 Acrobat 9 - 2008 to 2013 Acrobat X - 2010 to 2015 . PDF/A-1 was published by ISO (not Adobe) during the two year active commercial release period of Acrobat 7 (which ended with the commercial release of Acrobat 8). . Leonard's comment #1 states the facts (& given that Leonard has been hip deep in PDF related ISO Standards since they started he has some "gravatis" in that arena (as does Jim King)). . Aside from the Wiki another useful resource on Acrobat versions is: http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.php#86
