Redaction of multiple words/patterns using Adobe Acrobat 9 question

This is my question.
How can I use an Adobe Acrobat 9 advanced redaction search of words that allows me to deselect from the search box (as opposed to the document page)specific appearances of the same word ie: directly from the list of word occurrences first found.
When searching for patterns the search box asks me to check the instances I want to select for redaction, and I can select all, then deselect some. The search box for words does not to my knowledge allow this. All the instances are checked from the get go. What am I missing.

When you are doing the search, are you using "Single word or phrase"? That will find all instances of a particular word and give you checkboxes for which ones to Redact.

The "Multiple words or phrase" does not give you the checkboxes, they simply highlight in the document window.

Thanks Kelly. I am aware of this form of search for single words or patterns. The same tool for multiple word searches would be useful.
Best wishes

Jimbo2,

There is an Action available for Acrobat X wich may accomplish your goal (provided you are willing to upgrade). You could test it out with the Acrobat X trial. This really affects highlighting, but you could apply the redaction after:
