Redaction in Pro v9 Redacts Same Area on Every Page

We have some reports where we are trying to redact a small area on the first page. When the document is marked for redaction, it looks correct. But once redaction is applied, the area on the first page is correctly redacted, while the same area on every other page of the document is alo (incorrectly) redacted. Has anyone seen this before and/or know how to correct i9t?

Hi Steve,

Is it possible the element being redacted is a repeated element, such as might appear on a background layer?

Diagnostic questions to ask...

Does this ALWAYS happen?

...or...

Does this ALWAYS happen on ONE particular machine?

...or...

Does this ALWAYS happen on documents coming from a particular application? (Check document properties->Description->Application)...or...

Does this only happen on one particular document?

Have you specified exactly what pages to apply the redaction to?

You should be specifying the first and last pages.

Hi Steve,

I was able to duplicate this. Here's what I did...

1) Create a multipage document using InDesign CS4
2) Place a picture on the master page applied to all of the document pages
3) Export to PDF

Then I opened the document with Acrobat 9 pro
1) Select the image using the redaction tool
2) Apply redactions

viola - the image is redacted on every page that had the master page applied in InDesign CS4

Does that duplicate your experience?
