acrobat 7.0 crashes word 2003

I am running acrobat 7.0 professional and office 2003 on Vista and up until recently, I have been able to successfully convert all .doc files to .pdf either by right clicking the .doc file in explorer and selecting Convert to pdf, or by selecting the Convert to pdf menu item under the Adobe PDF heading in Word.

This has all changed. Now, word just crashes and acrobat fails to generate pdf.

I have uploaded all updates that I can find to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause and fix?

Thanks, KOH

Acrobat 7 was not designed to work on the Vista OS. The only version of Acrobat/Reader that should be used on Vista is the patched version 8.

Do you know why it would have been working without fail on Vista since March? Any idea what versions I might be able to roll back to to get it working again?
Thanks.
